Ladies Night (Bullseye Shooting)

Meets on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the Month
6:30pm to 8:00pm

Woman Shooting The DCPA Ladies Night Bullseye activity cordially invites Women ONLY to come and shoot in an organized but less formal environment.
*There will be no gentlemen allowed on the shooting line.

Arrive at range #1 between 6 and 6:15pm to allow for set up time and to meet the other women who will be shooting. Shooting starts at 6:30pm and ends around 7:45. There is no commitment other than safety and your enjoyment. No scores are kept, but you may keep your own.

What is it like?
Similar to BULLS-EYE shooting, this is shot from the standing position, but with one or two hands. You shoot from a shooting “point”, at that point’s designated target. That target is 2’x2’ and is 25 yards away. The challenge is your group size or score.

The Course Of Fire:
  • SLOW FIRE - 10 shots in 10 minutes at 25 yds (We'll do this 3 times)
  • TIMED FIRE - 2 strings of 5 shots, each string in 20 seconds at 25 yds with turning targets (We'll do this once)
  • RAPID FIRE - 2 strings of 5 shots, each string in 10 seconds at 25 yds with turning targets (We'll do this once to finish the night)

Your Required Equipment:
  • Dutchess County or other NYS pistol permit or Authority of Office
  • Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Stapler, Masking Tape
  • Whatever pistol/revolver that you already own (a .22 semi-auto with 2 magazines is recommended but not required)
  • 50 rounds of ammo (a few extra wouldn’t hurt)
  • An open mind and a willing heart

Your Obligations:
  • Safe firearm handling. No exceptions!
  • $5 per week with valid DCPA Membership Card/$15 per week for non-member guests who would like to try (Money goes to pay for targets, heat, maintenance and perhaps a dinner out)
  • Have fun!
